Design (Product Engineer) - Batam
Responsibilities:
- Planning, scheduling and coordinating of engineering projects from the administrative and technical side, incl. associate budgets.
- Design and develop new products as well as improve existing products.
- Design analysis and evaluation of electrical circuits.
- Reviews Customer’s specifications and requirements and applies them in the designs and procurement documentation as required.
- Contact customers and suppliers, coordinate and resolve relevant issues
- Supports Operations and Quality on manufacturing, Customer and Supplier issues. Assists in the Supplier selection.
- Preparation of design verifications and process validation test plans
- Assist in the root cause analysis and investigation of quality problems and the preparation of 8D’s
- Preparation of DFMEAS
Requirements:
- Minimum Bachelor or Master’s degree in electrical/electronic engineering or related field.
- Ideally 10 years’ experience in a similar position
- Automotive background and familiarity with the AEC - Q100 Automotive Qualification Standards
- Good understanding and practical experience on the IPC standards (J- STD-001, 600, 610, etc.) in regards to printed circuits, printed circuit assemblies, process and inspections/tests.
- Experience in electrical hardware some software design and good knowledge of electrical and electromechanical materials and components
- Good knowledge of PC board design and development and familiar with Data Acquisition equipment and circuit Simulation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and leadership skills with hands on mentality as well as independent, motivated with a strong sense of responsibility
- Team-oriented, flexible, with high organizational skills and a structured method of operation as well as self-dependent with an ability to work well under pressure and given deadlines
- Willing to be placed at Batam
